French artisanal gin brand Melifera has rolled out a limited edition version of its gin infused with immortelle. Inspired by Corsica, as its name suggests, Edizione Corsa’s bespoke gradient lacquered bottle is adorned with a finely embossed floral wreath.
Edizione Corsa, a limited-edition gin from French brand Melifera, is housed in the same bespoke bottle (Hrastnik1860) as the brand’s original gin, with its wreath of flowers finely embossed onto the glass. “From the beginning it was important to us to have our own bottle so as to convey our brand story,” Cécile-Julie Amigorena, Head of Marketing & Communication at Melifera, tells Luxe Packaging Insight.
For Edizione Corsa, the brand looked to "evoke something raw and full-bodied and we opted to take on the codes of Corsica with a dark-colored bottle,” she says of the design. “The antique-gold crown evokes both the empire and Napoleon himself, who is said to have known he was approaching the Corsican coast just by the scent of immortelle.”
Supplier Carbon Décor combined a gradient lacquer with inkjet decoration on the embossing. “Finding the right shades for this black gradient was very important to the project, as well as for the crown, as the elegance lies in its hue,” says Amigorena.
The label (Nacara) is printed on Avery Dennison’s rGranit Blanc, a 100% recycled paper with a ‘hammered’ texture. The label is printed in tones of gray and black, with black hot-stamped shaped embossing on the word Melifera, and touches of gold hot-stamping.
Melifera Edizione Corsa retails at €50.
