Family-owned Winter & Company cultivates the family spirit among its staff while placing sustainability at the heart of its creations. Independence and creative audacity are the key criteria ensuring the company's development.
Winter & Company, the Swiss specialist in high-quality cover materials with a premium look and feel, has been continuously innovating for four generations. This timeless brand’s extraordinary creative heritage meets the expectations of renowned designers in the realms of packaging, book-binding and merchandising. Given the company's focus on meaning, aesthetics and responsibility, sustainable development represents a nearly infinite source of inspiration. Their unique range of products illustrates not only creativity and premium quality, but also the company’s skill in the area of eco-responsible innovation and the capacity to constantly reinvent themselves.
More than 20 years ago, Winter & Company set itself apart with Wintan®, a noble material made from tannery by-products. This was a way to make a greater contribution to environmental protection while reinventing its product portfolio. Today, the company is promoting Winter Wrup-Cycling, a bottom-up recycling process applied to all their new materials – also an original way of transforming household and industrial waste into novel covering materials.
Continuing in this direction, the 100% recycled version of paper collection Wibalin®, Wibalin® Recycled offers exceptional fiber quality for demanding applications. Suedel® Luxe Recycled, the eco-friendly high-end suede imitation, provides an elegant suede look sourced from 100% industrial waste generated from cotton production. Winter & Company also develops paper-based, coated, matte-surface and leather-like cover materials, including Ecorel® Pure Skiver. These new collections are made from 30 or 50% recycled post-consumer waste and are now recyclable.
Another unique experience is Toile Ocean, the first covering material woven from ocean plastic. Its production has already enabled the recycling of 78,000 plastic bottles collected from the ocean's shores. In summary, Winter & Company offers a range of positive experiences to create emotion, unite people and encourage the evolution of consumer behavior.
Winter & Company adheres to the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, is a member of Swiss network UNGC and is FSC® certified (FSC license code number C007992).
