Coronavirus crisis: PRP Creation focuses on hand sanitizer bottles

We continue our series on how coronavirus is impacting suppliers and spoke with Vincent Joffre, sales director of plastic bottles, caps and closures specialist PRP Creation.

How has the covid-19 pandemic changed the way you work?

It is vital to have constant communication with employees to reassure them and give meaning to their mission. We also need to source everything needed to implement a policy to protect our staff, such as hand sanitizer, gloves and masks. A local barter system is being organized, where we supply bottles and are given other barrier products in return.

How will the situation affect your business?

From an economic point of view, we are continuing to produce bottles for hand sanitizer, but we do this at cost price. This is not going to cover our fixed costs, and what's more, these products only consume a minimal part of all our processes, so we're going to have to adapt to this reduced scope but with very little visibility.
