Hennessy has teamed up with fellow LVMH maison Berluti on limited-edition packaging for its Richard Hennessy cognac blend. The Baccarat crystal decanter designed by Polish-American architect Daniel Libeskind comes with a leather sleeve and cut-out case.
After unveiling the redesign of its Richard Hennessy cognac carafe earlier this year, Hennessy has collaborated with Berluti to harness the leatherworking specialist’s savoir-faire for a limited-edition release.
The LVMH stablemate produced an angular leather sleeve that molds to the decanter’s curves, as well as an attaché case in Venezia calf leather. The cognac-hued case has a central cut-out designed to frame the carafe. Inside is a custom-made card holder stamped with both the Berluti and Richard Hennessy logos.
Part of Hennessy’s Editions Rares collection, the Richard Hennessy Blend’s Baccarat crystal decanter topped with crystalline geometric stopper is designed by architect Daniel Libeskind. Borrowing from calligraphy used to inscribe French oak tierçon barrels, the Richard Hennessy x Berluti carafe is engraved with a script, an excerpt from Hennessy’s founding act signed by Richard Hennessy.
The Richard Hennessy x Berluti carafe is limited to 150 pieces and retails at €40,000.
