American fashion brand Coach (Interparfums) has added a new men’s scent to its portfolio. The fragrance's galvanized spray-cap evokes the brand’s iconic turnlock clasp.
For its latest men’s fragrance, Coach Open Road, fashion house Coach (Interparfums) tapped American creative agency Baron&Baron for the branding and packaging design. The EdT comes in a bottle (Zignago Brosse) with rounded, thin-walled shoulders and a heavy base. Minimal silver hot-stamping is used on the transparent bottle’s facing, allowing the blue-gray liquid and navy blue PP dip tube (Aptar Beauty + Home) to show through.
A pebble-shaped, gray galvanized ABS spray-cap (Albéa), inspired by Coach's iconic turnlock tops the flacon. The cap is fitted with Aptar Beauty + Home’s VP4 pump and is decorated with the letter C at the base. The gray ABS collar (Albéa) with navy blue PP detailing features the brand name engraved in the mold.
As a nod to the house's leatherworking heritage, the fragrance’s secondary packaging (Egisa) features a subtle embossed textured leather effect. The extra white, uncoated 350g stock from Fedrigoni is offset printed in navy blue and finished with a matte varnish. The text is embossed and hot stamped in silver.
Created by master perfumer Jean-Christophe Hérault (IFF), the fragrance blends notes of lemon, red apple and Sichaun pepper. Coach Open Road launched in August, priced at €87 for 100ml.
