Embroidery and Baccarat crystal take center stage in Chanel’s latest fragrance coffret, Sycomore et les Maisons d’art.
For the newest edition of its coffrets celebrating French craftsmanship, Chanel called on French crystal maker Baccarat and embroidery specialist Lesage, one of its Maisons d’art companies.
The Sycomore et les Maisons d’art coffret houses Sycomore Parfum, a woody extrait de parfum with notes of vetiver, cedarwood and vanilla composed by house perfumer Olivier Polge. It comes in a 50ml crystal fragrance flacon (Baccarat) sealed with a baudruche stamped with a double C.
The inside of the triptych-shaped coffret is decorated by Lesage, the embroidery specialist owned by Chanel. Amethyst bicone beads and passementerie pearls are combined with fine wood shavings intertwined with golden threads.
Launching this month, Chanel’s Sycomore et les Maisons d’art coffret is limited to just 20 numbered pieces and retails for €10,000.
