Parfums Caron’s new bottle for its Collection Merveilleuse will house the French brand’s iconic scents as well as its newest launches. The refillable glass and metal flacon boasts a stackable design.
Historic French house Parfums Caron is making a statement with the newly unveiled flacon for its Collection Merveilleuse range. Engraved in the mold with the brand’s logo, the glass bottle (Zignago Brosse) is topped with a pale champagne-colored zamak cap, while a stainless steel “helmet”, also galvanized in the same pale shade of matte gold, fits onto the shoulders of the bottle. Metapack, which produced both components, worked to minimize the clearance between the plate and the shoulders of the bottle —a particular challenge when taking into account the tolerance of the glass — by manually placing an ultra-thin double-sided adhesive in three specific areas.
The bottles can be stacked, giving them a playful look, and are available in three formats (20, 50, and 100ml) to encourage customers to collect them. Thanks to its screw pump, the flacon can be refilled in the brand’s boutique or at home.
Olivia de Rothschild, the youngest daughter of Caron owner Ariane de Rothschild, worked in tandem with Parisian studio Objets de Convoitises to design the new bottle. The Collection Merveilleuse includes the brand’s emblematic fragrances, as well as more recent launches, divided into five olfactive families. The latest scent in the collection and new for 2021 is Muguet de Bonheur. An EdT, the chypre floral fruity was composed by house perfumer Jean Jacques and blends notes of lily of the valley and pear.
