Carolina Herrera (Puig) is expanding its stiletto-shaped fragrance franchise with the launch of Very Good Girl this spring. The floral-fruity EdP is housed in a flacon in a vibrant shade of red.
For the latest incarnation of Good Girl, its fragrance franchise launched in 2016, Carolina Herrera’s iconic stiletto-shaped bottle is lacquered red, the fruit of glassmaker Bormioli Luigi’s Inside technique. The inner lacquering proved particularly challenging due to the asymmetric shape of the shoe, which made obtaining uniform coverage a feat.
The slender nickel galvanized, e-coated “heel” of the bottle is in zamak (TNT Global Manufacturing, Meiyume, Orient Express), a material chosen for its resistance; a mechanical pin was inserted to further strengthen the structure. It required complex demoulding and polishing to preserve the details of the fine lines.
Identical to previous versions, the injected and lacquered spray cap (Novassu, Qualipac) is comprised of three parts: the cap and spray button in Eastman’s copolyester Tritan and a POM insert. The 30ml version features an ABS cap. A high-speed gluing machine was used for the pre-assembled cap, with the actuator tested several times to ensure an unobstructed flow of air.
Created by Louise Turner (Givaudan), Carolina Herrera Very Good Girl is a floral-fruity EdP containing notes of rose, redcurrant and vetiver.
The fragrance launches in France exclusively at Sephora in April, priced at €70 for 30ml, €101 for 50ml and €130 for 80ml.
