Alliora, Neyret and g.pivaudran are among the 12 companies that are part of Bpifrance and Febea’s Beauty Accelerator program which notably aims to accelerate the digitalization of the supply chain for cosmetics industry suppliers.
French cosmetics association Febea and public investment bank Bpifrance have unveiled the first cohort of companies – including packaging suppliers – to benefit from its Beauty Accelerator program. Supported by LVMH, Chanel, L’Oréal, Clarins, Pierre Fabre and business cluster Cosmetic Valley, the chosen companies will get personalized support over 18 months to help accelerate the digitalization of their supply chains and tackle ecological issues such as carbon footprint and life cycle traceability of products.
The 12 companies in the first Beauty Accelerator are:
Textile specialist Neyret
Cardboard coffret manufacturer Alliora
Aluminum stamping specialist g.pivaudran
Medicos Beauty, specialized in plastic injection, drawn glass processing and decoration
ETS Martinenq Imprimeurs, a printer serving the luxury packaging and cosmetics markets
Formulation specialist Strand Cosmetics Europe
Cosmetics R&D laboratory ABC Texture
Petroleum jellies manufacturer Aiglon
Ingredients company Greentech
Georges Mathai, communication specialist for haircare suppliers
Cosmetics subcontractor Technature
Gift specialist The Gift Lab
Participants are encouraged to rethink their digital strategy to meet changing consumer habits. Personalization of products, almost instantaneous delivery and production of large volumes for targeted marketing operations are all areas of focus.
“Digitalization of the supply chain is one element,” g.pivaudran’s Marc Pivaudran says of the initiative. It will enable suppliers to benefit from external competencies, with access to resources and advice to aid development, he explains, combining with France’s Industrie 4.0 program for a more efficient industry.
Ecological issues are also at the heart of the initiative – developing a sustainable offer, measuring and reducing carbon footprint and ensuring life cycle traceability of products.
"Our aim is also to encourage a dialogue and exchange within this ecosystem to anticipate the solutions of the future. Thanks to the tools deployed within the Beauty Accelerator, companies in the industry will work even more effectively with major brands and thus respond even better to consumer demands,” Guillaume Mortellier, Executive Director of Coaching at Bpifrance said in a statement.
