Parisian haute jewelry house Boucheron has launched a new women’s EdP, Quatre en Bleu. Like its predecessors, this new flanker’s design is inspired by the brand’s iconic Quatre ring.
Just as Boucheron’s Quatre jewelry collection has taken on a blue hue this season, so has the brand’s new women’s EdP, Quatre en Bleu. Conceived by Pi Design and Interparfums, the Quatre line’s iconic flacon (Verescence) reinterprets Boucheron’s most emblematic codes and its best-selling ring of the same name.
The engraving on the base of the bottle meant to “transpose and transcend” the brand’s double gadroon motif was a particular feat, explains the glassmaker, combining depth of the punt, sharp striations and even glass distribution. The flacon was refired to accentuate the brilliance of the glass. Lacquered a translucent blue (Val Laquage), it features the brand and name of the fragrance line hot stamped in gold on the facing. Frosted screenprinting is used for the legal notice on the side.
The flacon’s ABS and PP cap (Berry Bramlage) takes its cues from the Quatre ring. It has a double row of white squares, while the metallic gold finish is achieved by electroplating. Rotating the external part of the cap releases the spray from its center.
The blue and gold box (Draeger) is embossed with a Moucharabieh design evocative of Boucheron’s Quatre Radiant openwork rings.
Boucheron Quatre en Bleu is a woody floral musk. Created by Sonia Constant (Givaudan), it contains notes of bergamot, jasmine and akigalawood.
Launched mid-July, the fragrance retails at €76 for 50ml and €109 for 100ml.
