The two packaging companies have partnered to develop a dual-material lipstick.

Parma-based glassmaker Bormioli Luigi continues its foray into glass packaging for make-up. The glassmaker partnered with fellow Italian packaging supplier Minelli’s mPackting division to create Tango, a lipstick with a wooden base and glass cap; between the two materials is a ring made of bioplastic, a necessity for functional reasons says the glassmaker. The FSC-certified base is available in beech, maple or ash wood and can be decorated with surface treatments including staining, metallization or lacquer.
