Berlin Packaging has purchased Italian company Premi for an undisclosed sum in a move that expands its footprint in the beauty and cosmetics packaging space.
Continuing the acquisition streak that has seen it snap up almost 20 companies in EMEA since 2016, Berlin Packaging has purchased Italian beauty packaging supplier Premi. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Premi is headquartered in Milan, Italy, and has more than 150 employees. The turnkey products specialist offers services including formulation, branding and digital marketing. Its online store, Stocksmetic, provides customizable packaging with no minimum order quantities.
“Not only does the addition of Premi rapidly expand our product portfolio in the important beauty and cosmetic sectors, but its emphasis on being a one-stop shop for customers is the perfect match for our hybrid packaging business model,” Bill Hayes, Global CEO and President of Berlin Packaging, said in a statement.
“This is a key acquisition for Berlin Packaging. Premi is a market leader in the beauty packaging industry with incredible know-how for the design and production processes. By leveraging our combined footprint and capabilities, we will deliver unparalleled solutions to our customers,” added Berlin Packaging EMEA CEO Paolo Recrosio.
Premi marks Berlin Packaging’s nineteeth acquisition in Europe, the Middle East and Africa since 2016.
