In response to the growing demand for highly personalized packaging, Autajon has launched Infini-T, a roll-based label offer that offers variable data printing. "The technique of variable data printing is already well known, but with Infini-T we are going much further by also offering variable finishes. This is a clear example of hyper-personalization," explains Gaëtan Mares, Autajon business development & marketing coordinator spirits & beers.
The variable decorative options include varnishing, foil and embossing on adhesive reels or dry labels, which make for a different design - with an impressive level of decorative finesse - on each label without the need for tooling. "This process showcases all of digital's potential on a single label," adds Mares. The only downside to the technique is that it makes for a slightly slower production than traditional processes. The labels are printed at Autajon's site in the region of Bordeaux.
