Autajon Étiquettes’ label design contest puts illusion on center stage

Autajon Étiquettes, French group Autajon’s labels division for the wine and spirits market, announced the winners of its 2020 Wilaaw* competition, which celebrates design in the realm of wine labels.

The fourth edition of the competition—whose theme this year was Motifs & Textures: a Game of Illusion—received nearly 200 entries from the design community.  Some 50 projects were shortlisted by a jury of renowned brands, wine growers, traders and cooperatives. The Wilaaw awards ceremony will take place in Bordeaux early December, and the theme for the 2021 edition is to be unveiled in September.

The Gold award went to Mathilde Mauran for her label En Suspens (in suspension).

Svetlana Naydenova took home the Silver prize for her project dubbed La Touche Mystérieuse (mysterious touch)

The Bronze prize was awarded to Sébastien Estrade for Vertige (vertigo).
