Aptar Beauty buys iD SCENT

With its paper fragrance sampling portfolio, iD SCENT gives Aptar Beauty an offer in line with the dispensing specialist’s environmental objectives.

Dispensing specialist Aptar Beauty has announced the purchase of French family-owned fragrance sampling company iD SCENT. The supplier offers 100% paper sampling solutions through its trademarked references Scentouch, Scentpad, Scentdow and Scentest. The sampling technologies target press, retail, training, street marketing and e-sampling channels.

“The combination of Aptar’s global scale and iD SCENT’s unique capabilities will enable further collaboration on sustainability actions and objectives with our customers. iD SCENT’s offerings are made of paper, which helps promote recycling,” remarked Aptar Beauty President Marc Prieur.

iD SCENT, based in Lyon, was founded by Maxime Caffon in 2004. The company launched its monomaterial sample Scentouch in 2020; the initial launch with Narciso Rodriguez took home a Formes de Luxe Award that same year.

Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
