Jimmy Choo (Interparfums) has unveiled I Want Choo, a new women’s EdP launched in January. The faceted fragrance bottle, with its high neck, JC monogram and gold spray cap, was designed by French agency Objets de Convoitises.
I Want Choo, the floral-oriental women’s eau de parfum from Jimmy Choo, is housed in a faceted glass bottle (Stoelzle Masnières Parfumerie) that showcases the peach colored juice. From a technical standpoint, the passage of the glass through the narrow neck in the mold that allowed the formation of the bottle’s long, corset-shaped neck proved to be particularly challenging, as was obtaining a perfect surface finish on the shoulders. “The distribution of glass at its base provides the flacon with a dynamic foundation; the edges are slightly turned up on each side,” explains the glassmaker. On the bottle’s facing, the tolerance of the glass was reduced to facilitate the gluing of the JC monogram.
The bottle is topped with a spherical metallized Surlyn cap (Qualipac); a complex decoration process, according to the supplier. The effect on the collar was achieved by combining traditional techniques, including electro-erosion, with the application of a laser texture directly on the mold – a challenge given its cylindrical shape.
The fragrance is housed in a box made of offset-printed Invercote G featuring a red glitter finish on all four sides. The JC monogram is comprised of multiple layers of embossing, while single-layer embossing is used for the brand and fragrance name.
Created by perfumers Sonia Constant, Louise Turner and Antoine Maisondieu (Givaudan), I Want Choo contains notes of peach, red spider lily and vanilla.
The fragrance launched in-store in France in January and retails at €61 for 40ml, €87 for 60ml and €115 for 100ml.
