Cosmetic packaging supplier Albéa is expanding its sustainable packaging offer with EcoFusion Top, an open-and-close tube closure solution comprised of a single component that reduces its weight by 80%.
A new closure system in Albéa’s product arsenal reduces plastic use by weighing in at 80% less than its standard counterparts made of a separate head and cap. The supplier claims that EcoFusion Top is a more responsible closure solution due to its smaller carbon footprint. The monomaterial 100% recyclable cap is made from HDPE and complies with Ista-6 standard, which makes it suitable to the e-commerce market.
Albéa plans to use EcoFusion Top on its existing tube sleeves, including Greenleaf and Thin-Wall.
