Agave inspires design of Patrón en Lalique’s third tequila collaboration

Tequila giant Patrón (Bacardi Limited) and crystal maker Lalique have unveiled the third collaboration in their Collectible series. The centerpiece of the packaging design is a decanter housing an extra añejo tequila described as an "artistic interpretation of the agave”.

Patrón en Lalique: Série 3 is the third opus in a collaboration between the Mexican super-premium tequila brand and French crystal specialist that began in 2015. After designs inspired by the iconic Patrón bottle and the Art Deco movement, this latest launch takes its cues from tequila ingredient Weber Blue Agave.

The handmade crystal decanter (Lalique) in the shape of the Weber Blue Agave combines clear and frosted finishes, while the green-colored stopper (Lalique) is a nod to the agave flower.

Lalique’s Artistic and Creative Director Marc Larminaux created the packaging design, which he says is “an artistic interpretation" of the agave plant and flower from the highlands of Jalisco in Mexico.

The 299 individually numbered bottles of the Patrón en Lalique: Serie 3 retail for $7,500.
