A spherical cap from FaiveleyTech for Banderas Icon fragrance

Celebrity fragrance brand Banderas (Puig) has launched a new women’s perfume called Icon. The rounded flacon is topped with a pink spherical cap.

Packaging supplier FaiveleyTech produced the bespoke cap for Banderas’ women’s scent Icon. Made from PET, the cap integrates recycled content. Using an overmolding process to create a spherical cap with no visible injection point from the outside was a technical feat, according to the supplier. Matching the cap to the grooves of the bottle was also a challenge.

The cap was created for the 50ml and 100ml fragrance formats.

“We have invested significantly in production to support the brand’s ambitions,” Beryl Tomaschett, Key Account Manager, FaiveleyTech Orgelet, said in a statement.

Icon is an eau de parfum blending notes of jasmine, bergamot and musk.
