Catalan premium brand Xocolata Jolonch’s chocolate range created with Michelin-starred chef Albert Adrià combines tradition and innovation. The slightly “rustic” packs feature a combination of cold foiling and embossing.
White chocolate with matcha tea and mint, dark chocolate and banana, milk chocolate with truffle whisky… Spanish chef Albert Adrià’s chocolate collection created with Xocolata Jolonch comprises 20 flavors across four ranges: Floral, Traditional, Origins and Liqueur. The chocolates’ “original textures and intense flavors” blend tradition with techniques borrowed from haute cusine. Innovation is also evident in the mold used to shape the chocolate itself, which stands out from others on the market.
This combination of tradition and innovation extends to the packaging (Egisa), where classic typography blends with straight lines and script type. The floral range is illustrated with watercolors, and the Origins line an old world map. The Traditional range features an image of an old chocolate mixing machine, while Liquour is reminiscent of a whisky or artisan rum bottle label.
In 100% virgin fiber lightweight coated folding paperboard, the packs are printed using Egisa’s 10 color Heidelberg offset printing press with cold foil, giving a metallic touch. While the same four-color offset printing was used across all the packs, each reference is identified by a different Pantone color. An embossed logo features on the facing of the packs, which combine glossy and selective matte lacquer.
